Patient Confidentiality
We ask you for personal information so that you can receive appropriate care and treatment. This information is recorded on computer and we are registered under the Data Protection Act.

Complaints
We operate a practice complaints procedure as part of the NHS system for dealing with complaints. Our system meets national criteria. If you wish to complain or comment about an aspect of our service, please contact the practice manager.

Freedom Of Information - Publication Scheme
Under the Freedom of Information Act the practice has a Publication Scheme. A Publication Scheme is a guide to the 'categories' of information the practice intends to routinely make available, such as having access to your medical records. This scheme is available from reception.

Zero Tolerance
A zero tolerance policy towards violent, threatening and abusive behaviour is now in place throughout the National Health Service. Our staff have the right to do their work in an environment free from violent, threatening and abusive behaviour and everything will be done to protect that right.
If you do not respect the rights of our staff we may choose to inform the police and make arrangements for you to be removed from our medical list.

Travel Clinic

Ritchie Street offers a basic Travel Service for patients registered with us. We only offer
the following vaccines:

  • Hepatitis A
  • Hepatitis A combined with Hepatitis B
  • Revaxis containing Tetanus, Diphtheria and Polio
  • Typhoid vaccine
  • Typhoid combined with Hepatitis A

For many destinations, travelling for more than one month or to multiple destinations you may require vaccines other that those listed above. We suggest that you book an appointment with a private travel clinic along side your appointment at Ritchie Street.

  • We do not offer the vaccines listed below or any type of malaria tablets:
  • Yellow Fever
  • Japanese Encephalitis
  • Meningococcal
  • Rabies
  • Tick-borne Encephalitis
